Celebrate the New Year in style on our traditional Scottish Hogmanay tour. We travel directly to Edinburgh by fast train in a journey time of just under 5 hours (from London). On arrival in Edinburgh, we take a fully guided tour of Edinburgh before we check in to our centrally located accommodation, which is within 20 minutes walk of Princes Street and the Royal Mile.
As we travel to Edinburgh by fast train, you will be in Edinburgh in good time to join in the famous Torchlit Procession between Parliament Square and Calton Hill. This event is free but torches can be purchased in advance for £6 or on the night for £7 - see this link for details and to pre book torches
On the second day (count down to the New Year) you will have free time to explore Edinburgh's many attractions and special events or you can join our guide for a leisurely tour of Edinburgh's best pubs. This is a perfect opportunity to sample some fine Scottish single malt whisky's. Later in the day we gather at the street party in Princess Street to enjoy the sensational firework display over Edinburgh Castle to bring in 2012.
On the third day you have the option of joining our fully guided tour of Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Scottish Highlands. This is a full day's excursion and is being led by our own guide Andrew, who is one of the most experienced and knowledgable guides in Britain!
