Where exactly do I meet my guide on arrival in Edinburgh?
Once you depart the train, our friendly, professional guide will meet you on the platform. They will be holding a sign reading “International Friends”, from here you will join the city sightseeing tour. This tour will end at your hotel where our guide will assist with your check in.

Do I need to purchase my own train tickets?
No, your train travel to and from Edinburgh is included. After booking, (minimum 4 days prior to travel) you will be sent an email containing the reference number you will need for collecting your tickets at the station, along with full written instructions. Tickets can be obtained from any of the ticket machines at Kings Cross station.
What times will my train be booked for?
Your departure train from London to Kings Cross will be leaving Friday at 07:00 arriving at 11:22
Your return train from Edinburgh to London Kings Cross will be leaving Sunday at 14:30 arriving at 20:27
Please be aware that the times noted above can be subject to change. If this is applicable to your date of travel, we would always notify you in advance.
Do we have to travel on a specific train – are the times flexible?
The train tickets provided as part of your package are not flexible, you will need to travel on the train times confirmed to you. If you do not travel on this train, you will need to cover the cost of traveling on you chosen alternative.
If I book the Ghost Tour where do I meet this tour, and do I need a separate ticket?
The Ghost tour will take place at 7:00pm on Friday Evening.
The meeting location is Mercat Cross, High Street, Edinburgh. The tour will end at Megget’s Cellar, Blair Steet. Please be here for 6:45pm.
A few days before travel we will send you your booking reference for the Highlands trip. You will not need a separate printed ticket for the Ghost tour.
If I book the Highlands Day Trip where do I meet this tour, and do I need a separate ticket?
The Highlands tour will take place on Saturday.
The Highlands tour departs at 08:00am from outside the green Ensign Ewart pub, at 521-523 Lawnmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2PE.
Check-in opens 30 minutes prior to the stated departure time and closes 5 minutes prior to the stated departure time. We recommend that all passengers arrive as close to 07:30 as possible to allow enough time to be seated.

Please note we are unable to accept bookings for children under 4 years old on the Highlands tour, due to the length of the day and time spent travelling.
Do you need a visa to travel to Scotland from England?
No, Scotland is still part of United Kingdom, so there is no border control.
Does the tour include any food?
We include breakfast at the accommodation we provide in central Edinburgh, we do not include lunch or dinner. There are many eateries within walking distance from your accommodation.
Can we extend our stay in Edinburgh so we can see other parts of Scotland?
Of course you can! Please note that our train tickets are specifically allocated on certain trains at certain times, therefore your ongoing journey from Edinburgh will be at your own expense & no discount will be provided for the unused return ticket.
