5 days of Scotland at it's breathtaking best. Visit the dramatic mountain scenery of Assynt and experience the remote white sandy beaches of the Northern Highlands, walk through the ancient pine forests of the Cairngorm National Park and soak up the romantic beauty of the Isle of Skye. Further highlights include Eilean Donan Castle, Loch Ness, Glencoe and Scotland's highest road out to the remote village of Applecross, giving you a tour unrivalled for the best views of Scotland.
A grand round-tour of breathtaking views and fascinating places throughout the Highlands of Scotland, from the ancient forests of the Cairngorms, vibrant Inverness - capital of the Highlands, to the majestic splendour of the mountains of Assynt, the romantic beauty of the Isle of Skye and the awe inspiring Glen Coe.
Day 1
Through the Highlands to Loch Ness...
The tour starts by heading north through the stunning lowland countryside of Fife and Perthshire. Take a woodland walk along the riverside at Dunkeld and visit its ancient cathedral, then travel into the heart of the Highlands and explore Loch Ness, where you can take a cruise*.

Day 2
Mountains, Castles and the Magical Isle of Skye...
Day two takes you through the stunning scenery of Glen Affric. How about a stoll up to a stunning waterfall surrounded by ancient Caledonian forest? You then pass the Torridon Mountains, visit the stunningly beautiful Eilean Donan Castle* and go on, over the sea, to the magical Isle of Skye.

Day 3
A Whole Day to explore Skye...
You'll have the whole of the third day to explore Skye's mysteries and landscape. Here the mountains and beaches beckon, so lose yourself amongst the spectacular scenery of the Cuillin Mountains, the slanting hills of Quiraing and the incredible Trotternish Peninsula.
Day 4
A day of High Hills and History...
Day four sees you travelling south past Ben Nevis (Britain's tallest peak) and down the dramatic west coast and through the haunting landscape of Glen Coe (scene of the terrible massacre of the MacDonald Clan). Overnight: Oban
Day 5
Find Ancient Scotland at Your Feet...
On day five explore Scotland's ancient past at Kilmartin Glen, where over 5000 years of history are laid out before you. Walk in the footsteps of the first Scots at Dunadd Hill fort and the Temple Wood Stone Circle.

The basic tour price includes guest house standard bed and breakfast accommodation and is based on 2 people sharing a twin bedded room.
If you are a single traveller you must select a single room upgrade, as we cannot offer a room-share service for this tour.
On this tour you will be travelling in our our purpose-built minibuses have large windows, good air circulation and clear PA systems so that your professional guide can escort you comfortably through our wonderful country. Our itineraries are carefullly planned (with many years of experience) so that you discover as much as possible, without spending too much time on the road.
As we travel in smaller vehicles, we normally use the most scenic routes, where large coach are prohibited from travelling. Additionally, as our group sizes are smaller we are able to more time out of the vehicle. We also employ a the very best driver/guides.

- We recommend you bring suitable clothing and footwear for your tour. Scotland can be a wet place!!
- Infants and children under 3 years old cannot be carried on this tour - proof of age required at time of departure (e.g. passport).

- This tour is operated locally by Highland Experience Tours who are our preferred tour partners for extended scheduled day trips and tours departing from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
- Highland Experience Tours do require minimum passenger numbers for a tour to run. In the very unusual circumstances of there not being at least 5 passengers on a tour, you will be offered an alternative tour on the same day (guaranteed) or a full refund.
