Join us for an eye opening tour of the historic heart of Westminster. When one imagines London, one will often think of of the places we show you here.

Explore Trafalgar Square, walk down Whitehall passing Downing Street and the Cabinet War Rooms, see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Learn about the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The stunning Westminster AbbeySt. James's Park and Buckingham Palace, the official home of the Royal Family are all covered on this tour.

We begin at Pall Mall and the Duke of York's column before a short stroll to Admiralty Arch and on to historic Trafalgar Square to learn of the fate of Nelson and the victory of Trafalgar. Here be fountains, lions, statues and memorials all with the backdrop of the National Gallery and the church of St Martin in the fields. Charles I's statue stands guard at the top of Whitehall and just below we visit the place of his execution. A time when the cold wind of Puritanism spread across the country. The grand palace of Whitehall burnt to the ground long ago leaving just Inigo Jones' magnificent Banqueting House, lavish royal rooms have been replaced with that of the military and government. The Horse Guards barracks where mounted soldiers stand stoically in front of the ever present flash of a visitor's camera. The War Office and the Admiralty line this busy road and further down as we walk the length of this historic and ever changing street, we come across the Cabinet Office and the Treasury and Gilbert Scott's elegant Foriegn Office building, where, tucked down the side, we come across Downing Street and the famous address of number 10, home of the British Prime Minister.

On to Parliament Square to the Gothic splendour of the Palace of Westminster containing the Houses of Parliament and the Clocktower containing Big Ben. We will see the outside of Westminster Abbey and hear of the coronations of Kings, the marriages and burials, of Poet's Corner and the writers and artist who have been laid to rest there.

Along past the Churchill War Rooms we stroll through the beautiful grounds of St James Park up to the royal palaces of Clarence House, St James's and finally Buckingham Palace where we end the tour outside the official London residence of Her Majesty, The Queen.
