Day 1 - Hotel check in & Tower of London
Arrive in London, and jump right in to your trip of a lifetime. Allow yourself to be invited in by the rich history, fine foods and lively atmosphere.
Begin your trip to London with a visit to the Tower of London, one of the most recognisable attractions in the world. Located on the bank of the River Thames and right next to Tower Bridge, the Tower of London is the oldest fortified castle in Europe. From the moment you are greeted by the Beefeaters (Yeoman Warders), dressed in their traditional garb, you will feel like you have been transported back in time.
Dating back to Roman times, the Tower of London has a long and bloody history. Officially ‘founded’ in 1078 by William the Conquerer, it was built as both a Royal Palace and defence system, but each new monarch made renovations and additions to the complex, and so the fortress became a prison, Royal Mint, a treasury and even a zoo!
But the Tower of London is perhaps most famous for being home to one collection in particular – the Crown Jewels. The jewels are a working collection (still in use for important ceremonies), and a powerful symbol of the British Monarchy. Representing deep religious and cultural significance to the nation’s history, you’ll find them under armed guard in the Jewel House.

Day three begins with a fully guided tour of London, where you will learn about the history and even spot a famous filming location or two! This guided walking tour begins at the most famous station in the city dating back to 1850, Kings Cross Train Station. As we exit the station, one can see Sir George Gilbert Scott's Gothic masterpiece, the Midland Railway Hotel (now known as the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel) and St Pancras International Station, both of which have been the setting for many movie scenes and novels over the years, including Batman Begins and Bridget Jones’ Diary.
We then begin the journey to St. Paul’s Cathedral, where we will encounter even more places serving as the backdrop for famous films such as Thor: The Dark World, as well as some of the more popular historic sites in London. After the Cathedral, we stroll down to the banks of the River Thames, an area with no shortage of history and heritage. Across the River, you will see several buildings key to London’s distinctive skyline, including the Tate Modern, and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
Our tour continues onwards to Waterloo and Covent Garden. Waterloo is the location of the British Film Institute and home to many great local markets, as well as being close to the Coca Cola London Eye.
