Day 1
You will fall in love with the beautiful City of Light on this exciting weekend break from London. Meet your friendly, knowledgable guide at London St Pancras, before we board the Eurostar to Paris! In just and a half hours, our train will arrive at Paris Gare du Nord, where we enjoy a fully guided tour of the city by coach with time for lunch on the Champs Élysées. After checking in to our hotel we travel by Metro to relax on our river cruise along the Seine. Glide past many iconic sights like The Louvre, Notre Dame and Musee D’Orsay then end the cruise at the Eiffel Tower with a chance to climb to the very top.
Day 2
After breakfast the next morning we head to the historic Montmartre district for a sightseeing tour of the city by Metro. We will learn of the struggles of the artists that lived there, from Renoir to Van Gogh. We admire the views across Paris and visit the beautiful Sacre Coeur basilica. After a guided walk we head to the Latin Quarter with a break for lunch.
In the afternoon there is an optional visit to the majestic Palace of Versailles (£45 extra) to see the richly decorated rooms and chambers of Louis XIV. Explore the famous chateau with its opulent interiors including the Hall of Mirrors and the Hall of Battles. Marvel at the King’s bedchamber and the awe-inspiring chapel.
Day 3
On our final day we will spend the morning at the most famous museum in the world, the Louvre. Admire the Mona Lisa, see the Venus de Milo, Michelangelo's Slaves, Delacroix' Liberty Leading the People and David's Consecration of Napoleon. Please note that entry to the Louvre must be pre-booked, we would recommend booking slots no earlier than 10.00am. Please click here to book. There will be plenty of time for you to feast on romantic art and classical sculpture, before our weekend in Paris ends and we return to Paris Gare du Nord station for the train back to London.
