Day 1
Journey with us to the mountains of the west. To Wales, land of myth and magic, of legends and of song. We begin with a drive to the border town of Chester to walk the ancient walls and see the Roman remains. Stroll through the unique galleried shops, known as The Rows, some dating back 400 years. Visit the cathedral and photograph the famous Eastgate Clock.
Once over the border we follow the dramatic North Wales coastline passing castles and mountains to the 13th fortified town of Conwy. These days it's but a quiet and picturesque fishing village with its imposing castle, but it's location was fought over by both Welsh and English. Here too, we can walk around its medieval walls and also grab fish and chips by the harbour side. You will have time to visit the castle (charges apply) or "The Smallest House in Britain" (a small donation applies!).

FAQs
Do we get to hike up to the summit of Snowdon at Snowdonia National Park? Is there any hiking involved?
No, this is a taster tour of Wales, therefore, not an activity based adventure. Comfortable clothing & shoes are recommended as you will be doing some gentle walking but this is not a hiking trip.
What sort of clothing would be suitable for the trip?
We would recommend you keep an eye on the weather forecast nearer to your tour date, some waterproof clothing and a warm fleece in the colder months.
