What to Bring

What should you bring with you?

Packing for your tour can be hard. However, our guidelines below have been written to help you decide what you should bring with you. We have different types of tours so you will find advice specific to the tour or tours that you are either intending to or have booked below. If you are in any doubt about what to bring after reading this section, please send an email to our office [email protected] or call 0044 (0)1223 244 555

All Tours and Day Trips

  • Remember to bring comfortable shoes and a waterproof jacket
  • Warmer clothing - especially for winter time trips and also tours to Wales and Scotland all year round
  • Passport and any visa if you are travelling beyond the UK. You will not need to bring these if you are travelling to Wales or Scotland)
  • Spending money in the correct currency. You will need British Pounds for England, Wales and Scotland. If you are visiting France, Belgium, Holland, Germany or the Republic of Ireland you will need Euros.
Wheelchairs
If you would like to bring a wheelchair along or if you are travelling on an overnight tour and feel that you would benefit from having a room with improved access, please contact our office. Normal wheelchairs can easily be accommodated in the vehicle luggage hold (although our minibuses do not have wheelchair lifts).  We are unable to transport the larger motorised scooter style mobility vehicles.

Day Trips (Small Group Tours)

We recommend - 1 small day bag (per person)

If you do have large suit cases/rucksacks to carry, please contact our office in advance so that we can confirm luggage space availability. Most of our day trips are conducted in smaller vehicles. These do have special luggage compartments for small day bags and some larger bags. If you fail to notify us that you need extra luggage space for suitcases and larger bags before making your reservation, we cannot guarantee that the space will be available when you intend to travel.

Overnight Small Group Tours

We recommend - 1 small/medium overnight bag and 1 small day bag (per person)

If you need to bring larger amounts of luggage (suitcases or large rucksacks (greater than 70L) please contact our office in advance. Most of our overnight trips are conducted in smaller vehicles. These do have special luggage compartments for small day bags and a limited amount of luggage hold space for larger bags. If you fail to notify us that you need extra luggage space for suitcases and larger bags before making your reservation, we cannot guarantee that the space will be available when you intend to travel.

Coach, Train and Eurostar Tours

We recommend - 1 small/medium overnight bag and 1 small day bag (per person)

You may also bring a normal size rucksacks (70-90L) or medium sized suitcases. Please remember you have to carry your own luggage! As our tours are all short duration trips, most people tend to find smaller overnight bags, which are much more convenient.

Horse Riding Tours

We recommend - 1 small/medium overnight bag and 1 small day bag (per person)

Accommodation for horse riding tours is hostel style with larger dormitory rooms. You should bring your own towel, shampoo, soap toothpaste etc. You should also bring warm clothing and a waterproof coat. We also recommend that you bring shoes with a heel (if you have them). If you have gloves and a scarf you may also wish to bring these along

Please note that no previous horse riding experience is needed and you will be provided with safety equipment.

Remember - if you are in any doubt, please contact us before you make your reservation.
