Your day trip from London begins with a journey to the wonderful city of Bath, where we begin our Bridgerton day out with a photo stop at the Holbourne Museum which dates back to 1794 and features as Lady Danbury's house.
A beautiful and historic place in its own right, the reinvention of Bath as an 18th century spa and resort means the city fits right into the Bridgerton period. Your Bridgerton walking tour begins in the centre, where your superfan guide will take you to Abbey Green to see the dress shop, Modiste, the market square and the exterior of the pub Simon, the Duke of Hastings, is thrown out of! Nearby in Bath Street, gaze down the colonnaded street where we first see The Duke in Episode 1. A short stroll takes us to Gunters Tea Rooms, where the Bridgertons and Featheringtons take refreshment and gossip. You'll see the street where Simon ended his "relationship" with Daphne, and Beaufort Square where Eloise and Penelope discuss Marina Thompson's pregnancy.
The magnificent Royal Crescent is your next stop. Here, you'll find Featherington House, the charming cobbled street where Anthony and Benedict ride to the duel, where Marina and Sir Philip Crane ride off in a carriage, and where Lady Portia Featherington finds out the identity of Lady Whistledown who will inherit the family estate, leaving us to wonder who it may be?
Your guide will then take you via the Royal Circus to the Assembly Rooms, used for the interior of Lady Danbury's house, where Daphne tries to escape from the clutches of Nigel Berbrooke and literally "bumps" into The Duke for the first time.
This entertaining walking tour will include historic facts about Bath, gossip and fun stories about the cast and filming of Bridgerton, and everything we know about the next series! There will be some free time to explore the city and take lunch in one of the tea rooms, before you leave Bath and head to the next part of your day trip.
The day trip continues at the magnificent Wilton House - immediately recognisable as Hastings House, Simon Basset's London home. Built in the 16th Century, wander through rose gardens and into the courtyard, imagining yourself at the grand ball at the seasons end. Wilton House doubles up as a number of Bridgerton filming locations - including Clyvedon Castle and the interior of St James's Palace where Queen Charlotte welcomes the season's eligible unmarried ladies in Episode 1.
Out in the beautiful landscaped gardens you can stroll through London's 'Hyde Park' and view the delightful Palladian Bridge, a backdrop in many scenes throughout the series. A beautiful historic house with stunning gardens, it is certainly an enthralling and delightful place to spend the afternoon, before your day trip from London ends, and we journey back to London.
