Imperial College - Stonehenge & King Arthur's Glastonbury Day tour

This day trip combines a visit to the ancient site of Stonehenge with the mysterious yet tranquil Glastonbury, including entry to Chalice Well Gardens and a visit to the dramatic Glastonbury Tor.

A visit to In the afternoon we visit Glastonbury and explore the myths and
legends of King Arthur.
Our first stop is the mysterious Stonehenge, one of the greatest mysteries of the prehistoric world, Stonehenge. Why and how was it built? Who were the builders? What was its purpose? During our guided tour we learn about the different periods of building, stretching back over
5,000 years.
In the afternoon we drive further west, where we enter Celtic lands to explore the myths of King Arthur's Avalon and the mysterious Glastonbury Tor, rising above the wetlands and marshes. Legend has it that a mortally wounded Arthur was brought here after the Battle of Camlann. We visit the tranquil and atmospheric Chalice Well Gardens, believed by many to be the hiding place of the Holy Grail.The truly magical town of Glastonbury has something for everyone, including a great selection of New Age shopping and fun and quirky cafes.
Return time
This tour returns to London approximately 6pm.
