You will fall in love with the beautiful City of Light on this exciting weekend break. In just two and a half hours, our train will arrive at Paris Gare du Nord, where we enjoy a fully guided tour of the city by coach with time for lunch on the Champs Élysées. After checking in to our hotel we travel by Metro to relax on our river cruise along the Seine. Glide past many iconic sights like The Louvre and Notre Dame, then end the cruise at the Eiffel Tower with a chance to climb to the very top.
After breakfast the next morning we head to historic Montmartre to learn of the struggles of the artists that lived there, from Renoir to Van Gogh. We admire the views across Paris and visit the beautiful Sacre Couer basilica. After a guided walk we head to Notre Dame cathedral and the Latin Quarter with a break for lunch.
In the afternoon there is an optional visit to the majestic Palace of Versailles (£45 extra) to see the richly decorated rooms and chambers of Louis XIV. Explore the famous chateau then see the Hall of Mirrors and the Hall of Battles. Marvel at the opulent and awe inspiring interiors.
On our final day there is ample time to visit the most famous museum in the world, the Louvre. Admire the Mona Lisa, see the Venus de Milo, Michelangelo's Slaves, Delacroix' Liberty Leading the People and David's Consecration of Napoleon. Feast on romantic art and classical sculpture before returning to the hotel for our transfer by coach to Paris Gare du Nord station for the train back to London.
