Dover Castle. This service is available on all dates when Princess and Disney cruise ships are starting or ending cruises in Dover.

After completing the hotel pick ups we head east in to the county of Kent, known as the 'Garden of England', decorated and dressed with orchards, vineyards, hop fields and Oast Houses. A unique and delightful part of the country with a distinct charm and beauty that isn't found anywhere else. Our drive takes us to the south eastern corner of England to our destination, Dover. The drive from London to Dover is approximately two hours. On arrival in Dover we make a photo stop at the Battle of Britain Memorial. Sitting on top of the famous White Cliffs of Dover the memorial offers stunning views across the English channel to France. A peaceful place, dedicated to the heroes who fought in the skies in the Battle of Britain in World War Two.
Next stop will be at the impressive Dover Castle.
If you select the optional entry to Dover Castle you will have two hours to visit the Castle and grounds, then the coach will be waiting for you at the entrance to take you to the cruise terminal. You will arrive at the ship at approximately 14.00 PM . If you choose not to enter the Castle there will be a 10 minute photo stop, followed by a direct transfer to the nearby cruise terminal. You will arrive at your ship at approximately 11.30 - 12.00 PM.

Dover Castle is a medieval castle, founded in the 12th century and widely known as the 'lock and key to England' due to it's defensive significance and key roles and many wars and battles! From the 12th century until 1958 the Castle was continuously garrisoned, covering 9 centuries, something only equalled by the Tower of London and Windsor Castle. Over the centuries the Castle defences were continuously improved and enlarged as the Castle maintained a military role, a role perhaps made most famous in World War 2 where the Castle housed an underground hospital and a command centre for the Dunkirk evacuation. The castle is the largest and one of the oldest in England - don't forget to reserve at the time of booking your entry tickets online to avoid the main queues!

Please be aware that the entrance to Dover Castle from the coach park does require an uphill walk which may not be suitable to passengers with walking difficulties.

Ensure you have pre-labelled your luggage with the labels found in your cruise pack. On arrival at  Dover Cruise terminal you will simply walk to check- in to begin your cruise. Many of our coaches do have bathrooms, but if not the driver will be happy to arrange a 15/20 minute comfort stop en route to Dover if required.
