Day Trip Itinerary
We depart London in the morning and head to Oxford to begin our magical day out!
Our visit to Oxford begins with an hours walking tour of this world famous University city, with a professional guide. Founded in 1167, Oxford is England's oldest university. On the walking tour, we'll walk past some of the most famous university buildings, cloisters and quadrangles, explore the back streets and wander across cobblestone squares, all the while standing in the shadows of the famous 'dreaming spires'. Our guided walking tour will take you into the heart of this land of hallowed academia, where you'll have a chance to see the Bodleian Library, the Radcliffe Camera, Sheldonian Theatre and selected colleges. Some of the university colleges our tour will take us past include Christ Church, Merton, Oriel, Corpus Christi, Magdalen, University, Queens, All Souls, Hertford, Trinity, Balliol and St John's. The University has 38 independent, autonomous colleges and we will also pass alongside many others on your tour. We end our visit to Oxford with some free time, a chance for you to explore at your own leisure before we continue onto the next stop of our tour, The Warner Bros Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter. We recommend wearing sensible footwear for the guided walking tour due to uneven walking surfaces in Oxford in order to prevent slips, trips and falls.
After a short drive of around one hour, we'll arrive at the Warner Bros Studio Tour, a truly unique attraction. The visit to the Harry Potter Studios gives you your chance to experience the magic that went into creating one of the most successful film series of all time, where you'll see real life sets, props and costumes, all used to make the Harry Potter books come to life! Marvel at the detail throughout the tour as you stroll through the Great Hall, and some of the most iconic sets from the movies, including Dumbledore's Office, 4 Privet Drive, the Gryffindor Common Room, the Weasley kitchen, Diagon Alley, the Atrium from the Ministry of Magic and the Hogwarts Express, plus so much more! We'll spend at least 4 hours in the Studios, during which you'll have the opportunity to discover behind-the-scenes secrets which created the special effects we enjoy in the films, marvel at the intricate details that went into every single part of the films, as well as learning the techniques behind the prosthetics and make up that transformed actors into the creatures we see in the films. All will be revealed at the working studios where all eight Harry Potter films were produced!

- Visitors can now enter Gringotts Wizarding Bank on Diagon Alley! The largest addition to the Warner Bros Studio Tour to date, the exhibit is lined by huge marble pillars, sparkling crystal chandeliers, and props and costumes belonging to the Goblin bankers like Bogrod and Griphook. Discover the Lestrange vault and see the Sword of Griffindor, heaps of golden Galleons, silver Sickles, bronze Knuts and Helga Hufflepuff’s cup.
- Brand-new for 2022, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is opening the glass doors of Professor Sprout’s
greenhouse for the very first time. The greenhouse is a fan-favourite set from the Harry Potter film series,
where students were taught their Herbology lessons with Professor Pomona Sprout.
