Our small group day trip from London begins with the short journey to the very studios used to create the Harry Potter films. We can see the actual sets and props and tour the huge buildings used to bring the boy wizard to the big screen. Enter Hogwarts Great Hall and walk past the wooden tables down to the sorting hat. Sit in the Weasley's flying car and peer into Hagrid's hut. Stroll along the spectacular Diagon Alley and visit the Gryffindor Common Room. Out in the backlot you can see the Dursley house in Privet Drive and Harry's parents house at Godric's Hollow and then marvel at the Knight bus! Visit Hogsmeade station and climb aboard the Hogwarts Express. Learn about prosthetics and model making and film yourself riding a broomstick. Take a journey through the Forbidden Forest if you dare!
A recent addition to the Warner Bros Studio for fans of Harry Potter is the Gringotts Wizarding Bank! The biggest expansion to the Warner Bros Studio Tour to date, the exhibit is lined by marble pillars, sparkling chandeliers, and props and costumes belonging to the Goblin bankers, like Bogrod and Griphook. Discover the vault of Bellatrix Lestrange, in the vault you’ll see the Sword of Gryffindor, piles of golden Galleons, silver Sickles, bronze Knuts and Helga Hufflepuff’s cup. You’ll also have the chance for a unique photo opportunity, surrounded by heaps of treasure, but be warned, the dragon is approaching!
Early afternoon we make our way to Oxford, to visit the historic town and its famous University founded in 1167. Its connections to the world of literature are wide and varied. Alice in Wonderland, The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia to name but three. Authors, poets, actors, inventors and statesmen have called Oxford their home. We take an eye opening historic walking tour of Oxford's ivy clad colleges and beautiful university buildings followed by some free time. We recommend wearing sensible footwear for the guided walking tour due to uneven walking surfaces in Oxford in order to prevent slips, trips and falls.
After your visit to Oxford, our Harry Potter day trip ends and coach will return to London.
Please note that The Divinity School may close on short notice, in these circumstances, we will include a visit to an alternative college if available.
Please ensure you arrive at your allocated departure point at least 10 minutes before your departure time.
Outside Gloucester Road Tube station, meet at the station exit opposite Burger King. (MAP)

On some occasions, to accommodate changed entry times with the Warner Bros studios, we reserve the right to amend this itinerary and run it in reverse; Oxford first then the studios in the afternoon.
All timings are approximate and assuming normal traffic conditions. Due to the changeable nature of road conditions, we cannot guarantee a precise time when you will get back to London.
On the return to London the drop off route will be the same as the pick ups; International Student House & Gloucester Road Tube station.
Are the meeting points easy to find?
YES! All are within short walking distances of tube and bus stops, and very easy access for taxis. We recommend you arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the departure time. Your International Friends day trip has been carefully planned to ensure maximum enjoyment, which sadly means we cannot delay our departure times to wait for latecomers. This would impact the day's itinerary and could mean we miss booked entry times at attractions. If you are running late please phone the emergency number and our team will help you. If you miss the departure for your tour, you are welcome to join the tour at the first scheduled stop. Any expenses incurred in doing so will be at your own expense. Refunds cannot be issued for passengers who miss their tours departure through their own late arrival.
How will I identify the International Friends vehicle at the meeting point?
Depending on the number of people travelling on a particular day we use executive minivans or coaches. On arrival at the pick up location the guide/driver will announce themselves, will be holding a sign reading “International Friends” and will be aware of your names ready to welcome you on board.
How much time at each sightseeing stop?
Oxford - We spend approximately 2 hours 45 minutes in this historic city. Your expert guide will take you on a walking tour to tell you of its connections to famous literature and show you some of the awe inspiring colleges, followed by free time for some lunch and to explore at your leisure.
Warner Bros. Studios - In total you will spend around 4 hours immersing yourself in the wonder that is The Making of Harry Potter.
This day trip is carefully planned to ensure all customers have a fantastic experience. All customers must stick to the timings provided, which will be confirmed by your guide on the day. If you think you may be late or lost, you can phone the emergency number on your e-ticket for help, but we cannot amend the day trip for all passengers because of latecomers. If you miss a departure at one of the sightseeing stops our staff will do their best in assisting you to catch up with the tour or in returning to London. This will be at your own expense.
Are entries into the attractions included in my ticket price?
Entries into Divinity School Oxford & Warner Bros. Studio Tour London are included. Please do bear in mind that Divinity school is a working university and sometimes closes to the public with short notice. In these circumstances we will do our best to arrange entry to an alternative college.
How much of the University of Oxford will we see?
Surprisingly to some, Oxford University is not just 1 building but is in fact made up of 45 separate colleges. Your expert guide will give you a tour of some of the most famous colleges including entry to Divinity School.
Can I make my own way to or from the Studios or stay longer?
Yes and yes. If you just wish to use the entry ticket you must inform our office in advance and we will confirm with you what time you need to meet our guide at the studios. Please do not attempt to enter the studios independently as the Warner Bros staff will not be able to admit you without our group ticket. If you would like to stay longer please tell the guide on the day and he/she will advise on how to return to London. In our experience 4 hours is plenty of time to enjoy all the Studios have to offer.
Please note the full advertised price is still payable if you choose not to use the transfer service or Oxford tour.
Are there rides at the Warner Bros Studios?
This is actually quite a common question, so if you’re wondering this you’re not alone! The Warner Bros Studios is the film set where the iconic Harry Potter films were made, it is not a theme park, and as such does not feature rides. You will however have the opportunity to step on to authentic sets, discover the magic behind spellbinding special effects and explore the behind-the-scenes secrets of the iconic Harry Potter film series.
How can I find out more information about the attractions we will see on this tour?
This tour does not include food and drink. There will be opportunities to buy food in Oxford, and there is a cafe/restaurant at Warner Bros Studio.
Can I bring my own food or drinks on board?
There is to be NO Hot Food or Beverages (exception if hot beverage is in a sealed reusable thermal cup) on board the coaches due to the risk of scalds or burns and smells remaining on board the vehicle. Only Cold food & beverages with screw top lids are to be taken on board any vehicle. All litter must be taken from the vehicle and disposed of appropriately.
How much walking is involved in this tour?
Oxford - There is a 45-50 minute walking walking tour in Oxford.
Warner Bros Studios - Limited walking as you explore the Studios.
How many people will be joining this tour?
This is one of our Small & Friendly tours with maximum 20 people.
Do we need to tip staff?
