Service Options
We have three services, tailored to cater to a range of budgets and preferences.
Driver only
Engage the services of an experienced driver who is familiar with our touring routes, but does not guide. Should you book this service, you will visit Stonehenge, Bath, and Windsor independently. Audio guides are available at Stonehenge, the Roman Baths, and Windsor, subject to availability.
Driver/guide
With this service level, your experienced driver will guide and offer commentary from the vehicle.
Driver with guide
This is our most popular option. You’ll have an experienced driver and a separate professional guide on your tour, who can guide from the vehicle and lead you on walking tours. When booking this service, you’ll need to allow a seat for the guide. For example, booking this service for 8-16 people will allow seats for a party of 15 passengers plus the guide.
Please note, guiding is not permitted inside Windsor Castle or the Roman Baths but audio guides are available on site, subject to availability.
The services above do not include entries or meals, but we are of course very happy to help with this. Should you wish to include entry tickets or meal bookings, please see our FAQs tab.
Booking procedure
Once we have received your booking, our expert staff will finalise your itinerary based on your locations and pick up address. They will then secure the best driver and where applicable, guides for your tour.
We may make suggestions and amendments to ensure you maximise your time spent touring. Occasionally additional fees may be applicable in order to accommodate all of your requests e.g where itineraries will require unusually early or late starts or finishes, or if additional pick ups and drop offs are required. If you do have any special requests we recommend you contact us before booking.
Your Day
Your private Stonehenge, Bath and Windsor day trip begins with collection from your London or Heathrow address. We can collect from your hotel lobby, air bnb, airport arrival terminal, train station, guest house or private address.
The first stop on your private day trip from London is mysterious Stonehenge, arriving just as the prehistoric site opens, before the crowds arrive. Admire its powerful presence, then take some time to experience the visitor centre where you will learn of the building methods and possible purpose of the monument before continuing on to the historic city of Bath.
In Bath, there will be time to visit the hot springs and the remains of the 2,000 year old baths, see the Roman Temple and walk along the original Roman pavement before stopping to enjoy lunch in one of the citys elegant tea rooms. Explore the 18th Century crescents and squares of the Georgian city, built 250 years ago, when Bath became the social centre for high society with dancing, bathing and all manner of relaxation.
The final stop on your day trip from London is Windsor, complete with the oldest and largest continuously occupied castle in the world, and official residence of our present King. Here, there will be some time to visit Windsor Castle, including the state apartments, Grand Reception Room and the Royal Chapel of St George, the final resting place of many of our Kings and Queens. Alternatively, those who do not wish to enter the castle can spend some time exploring Windsor, along the narrow cobbled streets and riverside parks of this pleasant and attractive town.
Please be aware that in the winter months (November through February) Windsor Castle closes earlier. In this period we recommend the above itinerary in reverse.
Please note that Windsor Castle closes on a Tuesday & Wednesday. If you are booking this tour for a Tuesday or Wednesday entry to Windsor Castle wil not be possible.
